Annually they hold a Christmas Party called Winter Wonderland and a Children's Day that allows approved special visits between incarcerated mothers and their children. The goal is to help prepare the mother to be a good parent when she is released and for the children to know that they are still loved although the parent isn't home.
The programs are designed to empower these individuals for a successful reentry into society and to not return to the prison unless they return as a volunteer. The director, Pat Culp, has received numerous awards for her work but when asked how she does it she replies, "I give all credit to God."
